In 1955, Disney aired
the first of two serials: The Mystery of the Applegate Treasure. It was
based on The
Tower Treasure and is generally considered much better than the
sequal, The Mystery of Ghost Farm (a new story). The serials were released
on the Mickey Mouse Show in fifteen minute segments.
