Well,
it's here! the Hardy Boys have received the first major revamp since the
start of the Casefiles in 1987. The classic series that started with The
Tower Treasure was cancelled with #190, bringing to a close one of the
most popular children's series in history -- running over 75 years with
over 150 volumes and millions upon millions of books sold.
So
what can you expect in the new series? For one thing, the Hardy Boys are
no longer be private amateur detectives. They now work for an organization
called ATAC - "American Teens Against Crime." Here, Frank and Joe recruit
bright young minds (like them) to combat thugs and thieves. The new adventures,
starting with #1, Extreme Danger, are written completely in alternating
first person.
